I`ve been to Bangladesh before. Bangladesh located on the lower part of India. The Chinese has an old proverb talking about mankind seeking for power and go for higher positions as for water running for lower lands.

Well, Bangladesh cricket has improved their performance in recent years and i am sure they will be one of the great teams after a few years, just like sri lanka.
They can hire a foreign coach for bowling and fielding on permanent basis and also they should improve their domestic cricket as well well as school and colleges.
Cricket Academies have played a very good role in Australian cricket, Shave warne was one of them who came in their national team from an academy.

Any country economically large or small feels the vibes of the rumbles in adjacent countries and is fearful of ‘spill over’ or ‘copy cat adventurer’.
Contemporary India may have to use some ‘clout’ to reduce the unsettling parameters beyond its borders. In communal living (contrary to sterile living) tight weaving is one aspect of good neighbourly warmth.

I think except for Burma being a hermit nation for many years now, all the countries you have mentioned were ‘poked’ by India at various time and various degrees. Those days in 1950s and 60s India was as dirt poor as Bangladesh is today and India would react harshly towards its neighbor in those days since they (Indians) did not acquire the present economic super power status.

But with the change of fortune in present days (thanks to the opening up of its economy in late 1990s India became a ‘responsible’ player and wondering why its neighbors do not love India the way its citizen loves India?

We do hope that India would set the example of good neighborly living and we the smaller countries would have no alternative than to follow the example. But if India does not change its attitudes towards its neighbor then Pakistan type relationship would grow among Sri Lankan and Bangladeshi psyche that would be of no good to anybody.
