Do Pakistanis support the Bangladesh cricket team?

I mean Bangladesh is a natural enemy of Pakistan right? The 1971 war of independance when the Pakis butchered thousands of Bangla academics and important citizens. Never forgive, never forget?

I work with a Bangladeshi and a Pakistani who are apparently mature enough to realise that they are a new generation of people who have nothing to gain by hating each other.
I wish other people could do that.

1971???If you have no knowledge then never speak about that incident.
One politician can’t divide a country into two pieces without a reason.

Definitely. I have several Bangladeshi friends, and we never talk about those harsh relations. Neither is the government of any country against each other. We have already forgiven and forgotten the past, believing we were made the victim of an international conspiracy.

May be. The War of independence and Cricket has no nexus. War was a forgotten story. So, I think there is no enmity to be kept in between the two countries now.

Your knowledge of history is clouded. The war was fought by india and made Mr. Rehman the new leader of Bangladesh. Normally Pakistan and Bangladesh should be enemies but ironically both countries get along just fine. Their common enemy is India the country helped Bangladesh the independence from Pakistan. No wonder Indian brothers are so fond of Pakistan and Bangladesh. Both countries are run by self serving cons.

Well being a Pakistani i will support Pakistan but Bangla can do upset in Worldcup.And just live in present not past.So forget about what was happened in 1971

I am a Pakistani and i have many bangladeshi friends and its true that we never ever talked about that war. Its may be because it was taught to us in the books in childhood that bangladeshi are our muslim brothers. I support Pakistan but if bangla is playing with another country then yes i do. Some times while watching bangla match my mom start praying. Oh Allah please help bangla to win and i remember when they win against England recently we all were happy from the bottom of our heart.
On the other hand i have seen bangladeshi people dancing and happy in London when Pakistan won ICC Twenty20 in England.

As a Pakistani, I support Bangladesh if the team is not playing against Pakistan. Even when Bangladesh won against Pakistan, we were not sad.
Why not? We support Bangladeshi team. General Yahya (& other dictators/politicians) were behind cruelty to Bangali people. Ordinary Pakistanis were kept in dark for a long time. Still, we ask for forgiveness. Bangladesh Zindabad. Pakistan Zindabad.
