Question asked by SALT: Has the 26th February carnage in Bangladesh reduced the chances of a military coup within the next 10 years?
The carnage has been viciously disturbing and would be solemnly reflected upon by the pure citizens of Bangladesh. Come 26th February 2010, the king maker’s laze talks would be closely watched !!

Let me share this with you; some discontentment already got generated among the military officers about the way present government handled the whole matter, right from its beginning to surrender or fleeing of the rebels and its aftermath..

Moreover, recently some officers has been forced retired from the army on the accusation that they were not following Army discipline post-BDR carnage when they openly argued with the PM while she went there to meet them to hear their grievances, after the above mentioned unfortunate incidents.

However, the important factor is how good our democratic institutions are working and how much the present government is able to govern this country judiciously, without showing any favor or without openly vindictive to anyone, just because he/she dares to differ.

Btw, I have been missing your incisive questions concerning my country – Bangladesh. Hope you would contribute regularly.
