How can jute be used to help flooding in bangladesh?
By , 0 viewsI’m doing a geography report on how we could help people in the floods.
My teacher said something about jute but i can’t think of how it could be used. Can anyone else?

I think you need to ask your teacher to clarify what she said.
Of course, jute is a fiber that is used to make coarse ropes, burlap sacks, etc.
I think I remember reading somewhere that coarse matting woven from jute was used to stabilize river banks, but I cannot remember for sure.
Check with your teacher.

Jute is used to make burlap sacks. The sacks are filled with sand. They are then called sand bags. The sandbags are stacked in a way to hold back the water. They are used all over the world for the same reasons.
