You mean to say that in USA it is 110volts and 60cycles but you need an adapter to have input as 220volts and 50cycles (In this part of the world we have this specification) for the TV that you are getting from the US that has input as 110volts and 60cycles?
You can buy “ADAPTER” from almost any of the major electronics and electrical shops in Bangladesh located at Nawabpur Road, Stadium Market, Baitul-Mukarram Mosque Market, Computer City at IDB Bhaban, Gulshan Market and other places where they display electronic gadgets for sale.
If you accidentally plug-in 110volts and 60cycles into the socket of 220volts and 50cycles then you know what can go wrong. Therefore, make sure nobody opens the TV set prior to your buying the adapter.
Legends:
Measures of power: Watts, Kilowatts, Megawatts and Gigawatts
Measures of energy: Watt hours, kilowatt hours.
1 kilowatt hour = the amount of energy donated to a load of one kW in one hour.
Brief overview
1 watt = 1 volt X 1 ampere
1 watt = 3.41 BTU
746 watts = 1 horsepower
Volt: Measure of electrical potential
Ampere: Measure of current.
Btw, there are some TV sets that has built-in adapter to change from 110v to 220v just simply by sliding the tab as shown in their operating manual. Wish you all teh luck!
Hope above helps.
