The going rates are as follows, for 8-hours work.

1. Helper (daily labour) = Taka 140 to 160

2. Semi-skilled worker (Asstt. Mistry) = Taka 200 to 220

3. Skilled worker (Mistry) = Taka 280 to 300

4. Raj-mistry (Head mason) = Taka 400 to 450

5. Electricians (house wiring) = Taka 500 to 600

1 US Dollar = Taka 70/- approximately.

From city to city and city-village the rates may vary slightly.
