Junior Miss america is actually a SCHOLARSHIP CONTEST.. In addition to cash scholarships, Junior Miss participants are eligible for college-granted scholarships from nearly 200 colleges and universities. Junior Misses also receive a medallion to symbolize their achievements in the classroom and in extracurricular activities.Among many accolades that she received in high school, Nora was a National Merit Scholar, a recipient of the Murray Glauberman Award, Valedictorian, an International Baccalaureate Diploma Candidate, and an Academic All-Star for KARE-11/NBC TV. She teaches science and math classes, conducts stem cell research at the University of Minnesota, and plays for fundraising concerts and educational music shows! If this 17 yr old extremely talented girl IS Bangladesh’s pride undoubtedly.

OH,< It thats nora ali, I thought she was most beauty then other bangali girl now i saw her she is not thats whats I use to thoughted.and also why all people think about her looks this is a Scholarship Program on school not on a Beauty Pegeant. i m a guy from bangladesh so i know better than y. she is ok. but there are many better looking and well structured girls in bd. eventhough there are many ugly. but this exists everywhere in world. people with good and bad personality exists everywhere in world. and bd girls are more mature than girls from your country. wifes in your country cannot adjust if husband is 4/5 years ealder than her

I think the girls who are born and brought up oversea are generally more attractive and fitter than the Bangladeshi Girls in Bangladesh. Who are attractive to an extent but lack personality or emotional maturity.

Listen mister…i respect your comments….but this is a SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION for high school girls…its requires Academics,talents, on stage answering abilty…and Chereography!This competition is used to motivate girls to achieve the Max out of their ability!!Nora won $54,000 which she used for her edu in Harvard University where shes is majoring Economics and Mathematics!

She’s pretty (not the prettiest tho). But with westernized free-mixing (that runs in Bangladesh too) is making Bangladeshi girls promiscuous & flirts; and that brings a common problem for both men & women…to be picky among the competitors, and risks short-lived marriages for lack of “loyalty” to “chosen one” (read “chosen many”). I once married a spoiled lady..and now paying a price. It’s hard to trace a “modest” (yet urban) lady (compatible of my age), so I can get married again.
