There has been no secession.India English colonial territory corresponded to the current Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. At independence in India (1947), since no agreement was actually reached between Hindu and Muslim communities, the former colony was divided into 3 areas:- India itself, where Hindus were the majority- The West Pakistan (now Pakistan) where Muslims were a majority- East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) where Muslims were the majority

- In 1920 and 1930, Gandhi has stepped up non-violent actions against the United Kingdom for independence del’nde.- After the war, Britain is prepared to grant independence, but the existence of two hostile religious communities, Hindus and Muslims, complicating negotiations. —- In 1947, two separate states are emerging: the Indian Union, the vast majority of the population is Hindu, and Pakistan, populated mostly by Muslims.- Decolonization is followed by violent clashes between religious communities and displacement of Muslims from the nd to Pakistan and Hindus from Pakistan to India.- It’s that East Pakistan seceded and became Bangladesh in 1971 (and not vice versa). India intervened militarily to support it.And why? for Independence. But since then, Bangladesh is one of the poorest countries in the world and survives on foreign aid

Bangladesh had been attached to Pakistan because of the majority religion in the country of Islam, despite cultural differences and actual language. It was already a first voltage source, the second course being pretty huge distance between the two regions and the relative disinterest of power in Pakistan for the country. But do not forget that the country needed the military aid of the USSR and India to win independence.

You still have to say there are not many countries in two pieces away like that, it’s not very viable. especially if the enemy is fatal in between …more then East Pakistan (as it was called) was neglected by the central government, there was a devastating typhoon in the early 70s, the Government ‘central’ (= Western) has not done much. so economically, the future Bangladesh was left to himself. In addition to the Bengali language was not recognized as official and other annoyances have found fertile ground for independence, a war with India led Quickly. India supported Bangladesh, not unhappy to tear an arm of his enemy Pakistan.nothing to see but namely: Bangladesh, four times smaller than France, has three times the population.
