i want to import from bangladesh . could anyone tell me please the shipping cost from bangladesh to australia by sea? does it differ from port to port?

Import cost comprises so many factors and same is for the shipping cost too. If your question is only related to the Sea-freight or Ocean Freight.

You may find out from the major Shipping Lines (Main Line Operators – MLO) or their Agents in your city. Every MLO have their own way of setting freight even though they are having some sort of ‘conference’ where the rates are ‘fixed’.

You may get different rates for Break-bulk, 20FT, 40FT GP and 40FT HC (High Cube) and such mode of ‘packing’ you would be using. I export from Bangladesh to China where the O’ frt is about half that of cargo booked for Bangladesh from China. This depends of the flow of inward or outward cargo. It is better to get say US0 for a 40FT HC containers which would be leaving empty on its return voyage from Bangladesh to China.

Therefore, please use Google, Yahoo and such search engines to locate the major MLOs who are plying between Australia and Singapore, Malaysia or Sri Lank to get to Bangladesh using Feeder Vessels since some of the MLOs are not having direct link from Australia to Bangladesh.
