Agartala, Jun 17 : Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has reiterated the demand to set up a linkage with Bangladesh through waterways via Gomti river in south Tripura and sought the intervention of the Northeast Council (NEC) to implement it.

Singh will be on a five-day visit to Dhaka beginning June 19 in an effort to take forward the growing defence relations between the South Asian neighbours, army officials said Thursday.
