What does India need to do to improve its image in Bangladesh from hero to superhero?

India is already respected as major economical power in this region who is poised to take equal share with China in the international muscle flexing competition. India needs to polish on two of the humane criteria to earn respect of neighbors like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal.

By the way, we can rule out any reconciliation happening between India and Pakistan after watching them fight for more than 63 years now. They will keep on harming each others till the last man is standing out in either of the countries. Too hapless situation for anyone to set it straight.

Now let us see what Wikipedia says about the virtues India needs to shone, as follows:

1. Humility (adjectival form: humble) is the quality of being modest, reverential, even politely submissive, and never being arrogant, contemptuous, rude or even self-abasing. Humility, in various interpretations, is widely seen as a virtue in many religious and philosophical traditions, being connected with notions of transcendent unity with the universe or the divine, and of egolessness.

2. Empathy is the capacity to share the sadness or happiness of another sentient being through consciousness rather than physicality. Empathy develops the ability to have compassion towards other beings.

No offence please, but India will miss the opportunity to make friends if its belligerent attitude dominates in the foreign policy and its CIA equivalent RAW meddles into neighbors affairs. Consider what the great power USA could achieve by engaging its CIA and such agent to destabilize foreign governments who are not following its line.
