in arabic it means principle or manager, but in Bangla I think it means donkey, and banglis use it alot in the gulf to greet arabs, like hi modeer, welcome modeer, arabs would think it means sir or manager, where they mean hey donkey, don’t qoute me on this, I just over heard it
