What is the current gasoline prices in Bangladesh?
By , 0 viewsi am trying to find out what the current price of engine fuel is in Bangladesh at the moment. I know that their natural gas prices have climbed but need to know about gasoline. Thanks

I assume that you want to know the price of Petrol (technically speaking it is known as 100% Octane for the purest form of Petrol, and 85% Octane is know as Petrol) that is prevailing at this moment in Bangladesh.
Answer:
1. Gasoline (100% Octane) price is Taka 67 per Litre in Dhaka.
2. Gasoline (85% Octane) price is Taka 65 per Litre in Dhaka.
3. Diesel for heavy duty engines is Taka 40 per Litre in Dhaka.
Note:
1. One US Dollar is about Taka 68.50. Therefore, you can assume it as 1 US$ per Litre approximately.
2. The price of CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) per meter-cube is Taka 8.50 which is going to be increased soon. I have about one-fifth the price to pay for CNG than what I would be paying for Octane for a given mileage.
3. The price of Kerosene is Taka 45 per Litre used mostly in villages or town where the connection of natural-gas lines are yet to be established and people rely on Kerosene for their cooking and lighting purpose
Btw, my cars have been converted from Octane driven to ‘dual-fuel’ system with easily switchable Octane to CNG. Two cars were converted into dual-fuel about 3-years back and recently new car also followed the suit. These conversions are mainly done due to abnormal increase of the price of Octane (Petrol) which were about half to what we are paying now.
