If we can educate our people properly and give them enough space to grow normally, we may expect that people in Bangladesh would treat each others gently.

By education I am not implying that how many classes we have passed. I saw that achieving highest level of education from Bangladesh our students fail miserably when etiquette matters. I have been to many counties on business and job related visits and found that the Iranians under the King Shah were one of the well behaved Muslims around the world. I am not sure how they are treating their women under the Mullahs. I have seen how the Singaporean and Chinese treats their women and we can learn lessons from them.

We know that abusing women in our part of the world is a curse we are living with due to our upbringing where sons get preferential treatments from parents and relatives over the daughters.

We have garbage-in and garbage-out syndrome here in Bangladesh where we feed uncultured people into educational institutions and then into the job markets and they produce the result commiserate to their upbringing, (family and school/college setting) and rebellious mindset that we inherited after we had to use force to win over the brutal Pakistani military occupation forces back in 1971. We used to be a timid nation or people, who got into the habit of killing others while practicing to kill our enemies in 10 months long war with Pakistan.

Look at our politicians, the major two parties have two ladies at the top. They fight among each others as if they are neighbors in a slum. Our present PM was reprimanded by the highest Court of the law in her first tenure as the PM (1996-2001) to be modest and check her tongue. After all the years of her experience and doctoral degrees she could manage to collect against her name, does she change a bit?

Btw, I am sure if any cronies of the present government reads my this post, then I will be hunted down. So why blame men only for this unhealthy attitude? Our leaders and parents and teachers are setting bad examples, since the whole society is rotting now due to the fightings between tow ladies of major political parties in Bangladesh. Who will bell the cat?

Hope above partially answers your query.
