Why do so many people hate the Bangladesh team?

Question asked by dragon_scale: Why do so many people hate the Bangladesh team?
I’ve noticed alot of people on the net especially indians who are always bitching about how terrible bangladesh is and they should be stripped of their test status bla bla bla. Bangladesh isn’t a bad team even though their average age is only 23 and they are improving fast with some brilliant players. Is it because indians simply can’t get over 2007?

I have noticed that too. But I also have noticed many Indians love Bangladesh cricket team. I think one of the reasons why some Indian hate Bangla cricket team is because of the arrogance of some Bangla fans. They way they talk can piss anybody off. For instant ” we will win the world cup for sure bla bla” Yes,, Bangla is a good team, but they cant win the world cup this year. When some Bangla fan keep talking like that people get pissed off and I think thats why they attack them back

What do you think? Answer below!

I agree with user “U” (Farhan) above. I have been in this forum for many years now. I saw how our kids behave in this Y!A whenever there is a cricket match played at international level. Our kids would open multiple account in Y!A and then will start bragging shamelessly. It’s some kind of provocation to ask for retaliation from the Indian users.

I know there are a few nasty users from that country too, and even from Pakistan also. These people from South Asia are still maintaining their mindset that Bangladesh can never come at par with them in any discipline or faculty. This is their problem. But why we in Bangladesh would try to be smart-Aleck and post rubbish here with erroneous grammar and spellings? Who will teach us that if we behave properly, we would not be thought as having less brain or idiots. Contrarily, if we try to be smart and show our incompetence in the process, then people would get the right to hurl insult on us.

Therefore, I do agree with your observation and also support what the other respondent has said here. Let’s try to get ‘educated’ Bangladeshi come in Y!A and project a positive image of our country.

Btw, you see how our present government is proficient to drag our noble laureate Dr Younus down to controversy? This is our politicians true nature and nobody can take this nation to a greater height till we are not properly educated. Sorry for the rant, but it pains me to see how we are going down the drain, when India and China (even Sri Lanka) are prospering and having better human resources than us.

They do? I don’t think so. I really like the Bangladeshi Team, and Bangladeshi people. They’re people who I can be ‘Friends forever’ with. Think positive, my friend. God bless all!:))

Yeah I have noticed that too… especially since the defeat of India back 2007 …

I do wish that people could stick talking about constructively… if bd is bad and deserve to stripped off their test status, they should be… if they r not, they shouldnt be…

its not just those kind of comments that are out there… people even go to politics… and racist rants… calling them Bengali beggars and such… and complain if someone says something against them… honestly it is ridiculous … everyone has the right to be proud of their country and support their team…

they should really consider the phrase “the pot calling the kettle black”

btw I m a proud Bangladeshi and I would support Bangladesh no matter how bad they r and I really do hope Bangladesh wins (even though there is a slim chance)
